Hello everyone ! This is my first Reddit post and english is not my first language so I'm sorry if I make mistakes or if it's too long.

I will try to keep this short : I was always depressed (bipolar precisely), had light to mild OCD throughout my life, and always refused to take anti depressant for personal reasons. I smoked weed at first as a really young teen mostly a few drag on other's joints here and there, it never did anything as I didn't smoke enough. I was still depressed. Two years later in high school I started smoking weed again and it was the best year of my life. I smoked heavily, multiple times a day, looking back on it I feel like this is what my life would look like if depression wasn't stealing it from me. But one day it all started to go downhill, first I stopped going to school, staying recluse in my house, still smoking. I was not feeling anxious, but I was too tired to do anything. It all ended up in me having my first panic attack, alone at home. I was petrified. I started smoking a little again after that, testing beetween smoking indica or sativa (all my weed was good stuff from my best friend who grows in-home) but to no avail. Everytime I suffered from a bad panic attack. I stopped smoking weed entirely for 8 months now.

I really think (based on nothing else than what I read online admittedly) that even the slightest dose of THC causes my panic attacks. I am taking a gap year to focus on getting back on tracks with my mental health, and so far nothing helped for my anxiety. Could CBD oil help me ?

Tl;Dr : I had weed-induced panic attack everytime I smoked (even taking just a puff) in the past even though I was a heavy smoker, I stopped entirely and months later here I am asking if CBD oil could help me with my anxiety/depression

I use a brand called Care By Design I started at the 8.1 ratio I did 2 pumps sublingual a day in the morning I switched to 18.1 recently and I'm having a mild anxiety week. So o might go back to the 8.1 ratio I thought it really made me much more anxiety free. But I may just be getting used to the increase dose and that night be why I'm having the minor anxiety issue this past week or so. I'm also taking a magnesium powder drink at night to help sleep and one in the am for good measure since my anxiety came back a little this past week.

Thank for your feedback, i'll be sure to start small but it's good to know beforehand that even if I find something that works for some time I may build "habituation" to it and have to experiment with doses again. Your message is giving me much appreciated hope thank you !

Today I woke up I was not worried or scared I was gonna have a anxious day so let's hope this continues and my day is anxiety free .
