Game of Thrones is in its final season (for those of you who care/or do not)... and r/GameofThrones is its own functioning subreddit with its own detailed spoiler policy. So for you to come to our very large subreddit moments after the show ends on HBO and post a shitty GOT/RPDR meme with (1) spoilers in the title and (2) without marking spoilers at all— it is insanely inconsiderate and will get you banned from here on out.
Also, most of the disputed "content" are crossover memes that literally have nothing to do with r/rupaulsdragrace, and we would remove them as per "Rule 5" regardless. But we're asking you to MARK THEM AS SPOILERS FIRST because we know you're going to try and post them anyway. So even if the post is up for a few minutes or a few hours, it could still spoil so mark it.
Did you just binge the newest season of “Orange is the New Black” on Netflix? How about “The Act” on Hulu or “The Marvelous Mrs. Mazel” from Amazon? Awesome! But again don’t come in here 13 hours after that streaming service posts the episodes and post content without some spoiler tag like “[Netflix Spoiler]” in the title. This is harder to enforce, but use common sense and try not to be THE asshat who spoils a popular streaming show because you wanna be the first to post a “DAE think this major plot point is RPDR” meme?!
RPDR UK, RPDR Thailand, Dragula (when relevant to RPDR)... these things are already spelled out in our general “24 hours after the show airs” spoiler policy where content must be marked. And while we might need to revisit this if people are still being spoiled because of lack of access to legal viewing... still use common sense and don’t come here 2 hours after the DRT finale and post something about the winner with (1) spoilers in the title and/or (2) completely unmarked. Make sense? Good.
TL;DR: While it’s not specifically spelled out in our spoiler policy, from this point forward posting major spoilers from other very popular television shows on our subreddit will result in a ban.
And even after that golden “24 hour” rule... use common sense and discretion when posting meme/crossover content for streaming and popular shows. It never hurts anyone to be overly cautious and mark a spoiler for another show.
Use this post to discuss whatever you want! Whether it's off-topic from RPDR, a random question you've been wanting to ask, or you just want to kiki with other members of our community, do so below! No spoilers allowed and remember to keep it cute!
